The Problem

Your team has enough to manage without chasing inspection records.

Care home fire doors take more daily damage than almost any other building type, and the people responsible for them are already stretched.

  • Doors knocked every day by trolleys, beds and wheelchairs
  • Closers adjusted or disconnected to make doors easier to open
  • Doors wedged open for residents who cannot manage them
  • Fire risk assessment actions carried forward month after month
  • Inspection records held by a contractor rather than by the home
  • A CQC or fire service visit that could come at any time
  • No single list showing which doors were checked and when
  • Repairs carried out by a handyman with no record of what was fitted

The problem isn't just getting the doors inspected.
It's being able to show, on the day someone asks, that it was done properly.

The Programme

One programme. Every door. One place to see what's happening.

Inspect

Door-by-door inspection with photographic evidence, carried out by an FDIS-certified inspector.

Record

Every finding linked to the property and to the individual door it belongs to.

Prioritise

Defects categorised red, amber or green, so your team knows what needs attention first.

Resolve

Outstanding actions tracked through to completion, with a fixed price against each one.

Reinspect

Follow-up inspections organised, and completed works re-checked before they are signed off.

Report

Clear documentation at property and portfolio level, ready for whoever asks to see it.

How It Works

Getting started takes three steps.

Your team doesn't need to build the system. We do.

Tell us about the home

Ten minutes on the phone. How many doors, how many floors, the resident profile, and who holds the keys.

We build the inspection programme

We agree a date and a route through the home that works around meals, medication rounds and resident routines.

We inspect and report

You receive the inspection record, the defect schedule and your next inspection date. Your team does none of the admin.

Our Guarantee

We guarantee the part we control.

Our Reporting Guarantee

If your agreed inspection report isn't delivered within 5 working days of the completed inspection, we provide that report at no charge.

And if we miss an agreed inspection date through an error on our side, we reschedule it at no additional charge.

Questions

Questions We Get Asked

What if we already have someone doing this?
Good. Let us review one home and send you the report. Compare it to what you receive now. If ours isn't better, don't switch.
How will you work around our residents?
Our inspectors work in occupied care settings. We agree a route and timings with the home first, work around meals and rounds, and step away from any door where a resident is distressed.
Do you handle the repairs?
Yes. Every failed door gets a fixed-price quote in the report. Repairs are carried out by a fire door joiner and re-checked by us before sign-off.
How long will you be on site?
For most homes it is a single day. We will give you the figure before you book, based on the door count.
Are your inspectors checked?
FDIS-certified, insured and DBS-checked, with identification carried on site and the certificate number printed on the report.
Do you cover our area?
We work out of Norwich and cover everything within about a three-hour drive, which runs from London up to Lincoln and across to Leicester and Nottingham. Cambridge, Ipswich, Peterborough, Colchester, Chelmsford, Luton, Milton Keynes and Northampton are all comfortably inside that. Further afield by arrangement.
